About
rymdkapsel is a meditative strategy game set in space. Take on the challenge of building the best possible station by commanding your minions and exploring the galaxy around you. Imagine a strategy game where you don't have to worry about selecting units or mounting attacks on your enemies, but rather can focus on building the best base possible. That's what rymdkapsel is all about. "Rymdkapsel feels tailor-made for iOS in both form and function, and its elegant, subtle constituent parts nest within one another as neatly as its four-block tetrominos snap together along a space station corridor." - 5/5 stars, Joseph Leray, toucharcade.com "Some games nearly make me miss my subway stop. Some games tempt me to keep on playing them while I'm walking down the street. This is one of them." - Stephen Totilo, kotaku.com "The game punishes the greedy, and rewards the prudent. If you’re attentive, you’ll notice that there’s actually a happy medium between the two: optimal efficiency." - Ryan Rigney, wired.co.uk "Rymdkapsel combines spatial puzzling, tower defence and base-building into a brilliantly coherent and stylish whole." - Christian Donlan, eurogamer.net

It's a very well designed game, pretty fun but I think after 3-4 games there's nothing new to do and replayability suffers as a result. There's achievements which can contribute somewhat, as well as additional difficulties but the gameplay stays pretty much the same as when you first start playing

Great game honestly. I've seen the basic idea before and the addition of tetromino pieces is a nice addition. One thing I'd love to see is more content though. After a couple of games already I felt like I've seen everything. First milestone, give us endless mode with map expanding, maybe research rooms as an alternative of monoliths, or maybe dead rooms scattered around the map... The potential definitely is there and I hope the game expands as it's currently an awesome prototype.

Very cool idea for a game. It's simple, challenging, and is replayable. I would suggest making new maps and/or implementing another monolith type mechanic. Really creative concept, executed very well. Kudos to the dev!!

Needs a fast forward button, minions shouldn't be THIS dumb, Google play games not being logged in and no option to do it manually, needs challenge and larger maps. Enduring tediously paced gametime for almost an hour and realizing that this is it and that your first try was enough to pass all objectives isn't very fun... Opened the new game+ and the map looks not so different. I don't care if it is at least a bit more challenging. Another hour of painfully boring gametime? No thank you.

This is a good game, makes you think a bit. It's got a zen element to it also but I'd say macro management is the focus. It's a little different each time, and the struggle to completion is worthy of anyone's skill level. Should be enjoyable to most people. I would say it's a little slow, which is probably why I haven't gone back to it for a bit. But I was hooked and determined to keep playing when I first downloaded it. You'd be pretty hard pressed to find something truly bad about the game.

It's a good start but it has a few issues for me. It starts off nice but if you don't get everything finished in about 20 rounds, the waves speed up to the point of being unplayable. I just want a relaxing game without the enemy waves and you have to clear the game first (not a big deal) but from what I can tell, even in Zen mode, resources are limited. This makes the game useless after you deplete some supplies. You can't afford to move anything around or make the best base possible.

Boring game with no replayability. This game presents interesting ideas & gameplay, but falls short on any in depth look. The tetris system feels obtuse at best, almost as if it was tacked onto the game because it lacked unique features. The normal gameplay is hugely unoptimised, your minions are very dumb. I could overlook this but alas the game only has one level and that's it. It was quite easy to beat and then what? Play again? The game doesn't have anything to build on to want to play.

As a few have said before, the premise is great, but there are several issues that get in the way of the game being enjoyable. The AI of your minions is far too simplistic. If a building needs 3 blue and 1 yellow remaining, you'll often find your whole construction team carrying a yellow each. Any one of them places the final yellow, the rest of your minions stand frozen, then realize their mistake, and have to go back to collect blue material. Strategy games need a competent AI.

Good game but has one fatal flaw that spoils it. as you progress through levels it's clear that minions choose a random objective/destination in the task that you selected for them. this results in a nearly unwinnable scenario every time I've tried to progress with different strats. (i.e. minions may take food to the furthest quarters, which prevents efficent resupply of minions). if this behavior could be optimized, or directable by the player, this would be a five star game.

The concept and realisation are good and enjoyable, but some things need improving. The first minutes of game are tedious, it's just soo sloooow. Any chances of adding an option to speed up the time? The other thing - I just died ca 22 wave because I accidentally deployed all my... kapsels? to research instead of defending. I realised that seconds too late and over 60 minutes of gameplay were lost. I realise that adding an option to save manually would spoil all the fun, but maybe doing something to make the interface clearer...?

Nice idea, but horrible UX. Minions are stupid, do not communicate to each other. Progress bar is misleading, its speed is changing. As far as minions are stupid you can't help them by temporary freezing buildings. You don't see wave number until it hits you. There is a mission to research all islands in 45 minutes, but there is no timer. In the 16th wave you mine all resources, so you can't build anything. Please add "start next wave" button. And what was the goal?
